Background: The Query-Cluster-Summarize (QCS) information
retrieval system was developed as a modular system for testing and
analyzing the interoperability of document retrieval, clustering, and
summarization systems.
Document Sets: The QCS system includes the following document
collections.
- DUC02, DUC03-2, DUC03-3, DUC03-4. Data used for evaluation
of automatic summarization systems at the Document Understanding Conferences
(DUC) in 2002 and 2003 (Tasks 2,3 and 4), respectively.
- MEDLINE. Medical abstracts related to gastrointestinal
stromal tumors (GIST) retrieved from MEDLINE.
